1st Convocation of School of Allied Health Sciences, CMH Lahore Medical College & IOD was held on Saturday 23rd November 2024 at Afzal Auditorium. The School was established in 2018 and two programmes i.e Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Medical Imaging Doctor (MID) were launched in affiliation with University of Lahore. 150 graduates of both programmes received their degrees from worthy Rector UOL, and number of students received medals and merit certificates for securing positions and outstanding performance in semester exams from the chief guest. Professor Dr Ahmad Jamal Bokhari Gold Medal was won by Maham Nadeem in MID programme, silver medal was awarded to Muqqaddas Fatima. Best all rounder graduate was Rabia Mahmood from MID. Rimsha Khurshid and Samra Fayyaz shared the best graduate award and qualified for the gold medals in DPT while Hafsa Ahsan earned the silver medal.
Many of the graduates have already started their post graduate education at National and International Universities of high repute. The School is about to shift to its purpose build block and three new programmes (Medical Lab Technology, Human Nutrition and Dietetics and Optometry and orthoptics) are in process to be launched very soon. The School has earned credibility and honor in a very short span of time. We offer cutting edge facilities, highly qualified faculty and an unmatched clinical training. CMH Lahore Medical College doesn’t need any introduction in medical profession.
The event was seemlessly organized, Commandar 4 corp was the chief guest, who not only congratulated the parents and graduates but, also admired the efforts of the institution for arranging such a wonderful ceremony. Renowed dignitaries of the city joined the event. This event will serve as a milestone in the journey of excellence of School of Allied Health Sciences, CMH Lahore Medical College & IOD, Lahore.
