Biography

Dr. Tahseen Kazmi – Professor & HOD Community Medicine

Dr. Tahseen Kazmi is a distinguished academician and public health specialist with extensive experience in Community Medicine. He holds an FCPS in Community Medicine (2003) and a Master of Public Health (MPH) with distinction from the University of Wollongong, Australia.

With over two decades of experience in medical education, Dr. Kazmi has been actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, curriculum development, and capacity building in research and biostatistics. He is a recognized supervisor for MCPS and FCPS trainees and serves as a facilitator in research methodology and biostatistics workshops conducted by leading academic institutions.

Dr. Kazmi has an impressive research portfolio with more than 60 published research articles in national and international journals. His areas of interest include non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health, epidemiology, and health systems research. He has also been a recipient of the Shahid Husain Research Grant (2018–19).

In addition to his academic contributions, he has played a key role in community-based health initiatives, focusing on prevention and control of chronic diseases and promoting healthy lifestyles at the population level.
