CMH Medical College and Institute of Dentistry were established in 2006 & 2008 respectively. Institute of Dentistry is an integral part of CMH Lahore Medical College, Lahore. It is situated in the serene location of Lahore Cantonment. It covers a total land of 12 acres. It has a purpose-built magnanimous campus that depicts utmost professionalism. It is a complete blend of intellectual architecture, accessibility, and comfort.

Academic activities:
The department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at CMH LMC is a dedicated teaching unit involved in patient care and medical education of undergraduate and post graduate students. The department aims to train medical students and trainee doctors with knowledge and skills for a successful medical career in national as well as international healthcare setups.
Our teaching practice is strongly influenced by peer review and student feedback. The department has a 3-year undergraduate curriculum based on NUMS and PMDC guidelines. This is continuously revised and updated. The teaching and learning strategies are student centered and include team-based learning and peer-assisted learning. Students acquire hands on training in Obs and Gynae. They are exposed to wide range of medical problems. Regular dedicated bedside teaching and case-based discussions (CBDs) are carried out in the wards. Special emphasis is given on obstetric emergency drills. The final year students are assigned duties in the labor room. Bedside case discussion with grand ward rounds is carried out for trainees and house officers on regular basis. Structured assessment techniques followed by feedback are in practice for undergraduate students. The department was the pioneer in college in introducing interprofessional education (IPE) with combined teaching sessions of medical and nursing students.
The faculty has keen interest in research, evidence-based practice and continuous professional development. These qualities are inculcated in the students during their training at CMH LMC. Students and post graduate trainees are encouraged to get involved in various ongoing research projects of the department to broaden their horizons & enhance their learning. The department regularly organizes workshops and training sessions for the students. The academic efforts of the faculty are reflected in high scores of the graduates in the national and international exams.
