World Radiology Day – 8th November
School of Allied Health Sciences CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry Celebrated World Radiology Day on 8th November 2023 to acknowledge the pivotal role of radiology in medicine, promoting awareness about its contributions to early diagnosis, effective treatment and overall improvement of healthcare outcomes for patients around the world. The venue was very nicely decorated with posters, charts and models relevant to the theme of Health Care Heroes.
Maj Gen (R) Prof Dr Naeem Naqi, HI (M); Principal & Chief Executive CMH LMC & IOD graced the occasion as Chief Guest and inaugurated the event. He acknowledged the service of Health Professionals for the betterment in the field of Medical Imaging and also thanked the Guest Speakers for sparing their precious time for the event. 3rd year MIT won the Project Competition held between all the MIT Classes. Students of Medical Imaging Technology presented very interesting and enchanting skits reflecting the current practices and gaps which need attention. The audience enjoyed the theme based well composed speeches and skits.
Prof Dr Iqbal Hussain Dogar; Principal Gujranwala Medical College, Dr Wajid Ali; Associate Professor Services Institute of Medical Sciences and Miss Sadaf Abdul Qadir; Head of Medical Imaging from University of Management and Technology delivered very informative and enlightening talks about “The Role of Medical Imaging in Healthcare”.
The Director School of Allied Health Sciences CMH LMC & IOD Brig (R) Dr Chaudhary Fayyaz Mahmood, TI(M), SI(M) concluded the event and along with Dean IOD Prof Dr Samir Riaz Qazi and Head of Department MIT Brig (R) Prof Dr Tariq Mahmud Mirza presented shields to the guest speakers as a token of appreciation for their valuable time and distributed appreciation certificates among the deserving students.
