Introduction
The department of Operative Dentistry has laid the foundation of evidence-based teaching, pre-clinical learning and hands-on practice for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year dental students. The department encompasses the specialties of restorative and endodontic dentistry. The prevention, detection and restoration of dental diseases with lifelong rehabilitation are the mainstay of student education.The faculty functions in unison to combine didactic teaching, small group discussions and clinical demonstrations with firsthand practice in fully equipped phantom labs and a state of the art Clinical Department. Every opportunity is provided to inquisitive minds for excellence in the fields of research and scientific practice.We aim to produce dentists who approach patient management with the utmost professional competency and a strong sense of compassion. We aspire to make a positive contribution in oral disease rehabilitation and spread of oral health awareness with an attitude of lifelong learning.

Weekly departmental Case Presentation seminar by PG students on Tuesday morning in which one of the PG students presents clinical case.
Weekly postgraduate seminar by a PG student with faculty on every Thursday morning.
