Every Year the World Oral Health Day in collaboration with Federation Dentaire International (FDI) is celebrated internationally on 20th of March. In 2021, FDI launched a three-year campaign theme: Be Proud of Your Mouth. It is desired from people to value and take care of their oral health and to make the right decisions to protect it. In year one, focus was on how oral health affects people’s overall health. In 2022, target is to inspire action by highlighting how a healthy mouth is important for people’s happiness and well-being.
The Department of Community and Preventive Dentistry, Institute of Dentistry CMH Lahore Medical College conducted oral health awareness and screening day, with the collaboration of Shield International Pvt Ltd on 29th March 2022
Prof. Dr Bilal Abdul Qayum Mirza, Head of Department, delivered a lecture and demonstrated various brushing techniques. Dr. Ali Anwaar, Assistant Professor, Dr Faiza Fatima Chishti, Dr Zainab Fatima Zaidi & Dr Abdullah Nasir demonstrated brushing techniques, provided free check-up, & educational material to the patients attending Outpatient Department at Institute of Dentistry, CMH Lahore Medical College. The main aim of this activity was to spread awareness and educate patients visiting the institute of Dentistry for various treatment modalities.
