IWD in CMH LMC & IOD Each year an annual IWD campaign theme is kicked off on March 8, with its focus and activity supported by groups all year long. The IWD campaign theme unifies direction and galvanizes activity to provide a meaningful framework for connected action throughout the year. This year the theme of IWD is “Break the Bias”. This year, the celebration of IWD in CMH LMC & IOD is planned for 16th March, 2022. The main theme “Break the Bias” will be augmented by the pledge to create awareness about harassment. The proposed program is in the form of panel discussion of 1 hour duration (from 1-2 pm). The panelists include Juggun Kazim, SSP Shaista Nadeem of the Special Branch, Barrister Saad Rasool and SP Muhammad Asim Jasra from Punjab Safe cities Authority. The guests will interact with the students and answer their queries about various issues regarding harassment.
A symposium was organized at CMH LMC & IOD on 16th March, 2022 to celebrate the International Women’s Day. The theme was “We stand against harassment “. Panel discussion of an hour took place. Panelists included Barrister Saad Rasool, SSP Shaista Nadeem, SP Muhammad Asim Jasra and Psychologist Ms Saadia Naveed. The session was moderated by the famous TV anchor Ms Juggun Kazim. AC Lahore Cantt Ms Quratul Ain was the Guest of Honor. Important issues related to harassment and its definition by law, social implications of the issue and the government initiatives to deter it was discussed. Punjab police Women Safety App was introduced. The activity was concluded with Questions Answers session by the audience.
