Department of Prosthodontics

The specialty is one of the most important branches of dentistry. The department has 20 dental units in clinics, prosthetic and ceramic labs. Besides training dentistry students it also trains Dental Technician students. The Department is responsible for both preclinical and clinical instruction of dental students in the disciplines of, fixed prosthodontics, removable prosthodontics, dental implants, dental auxiliary utilization, dental anatomy, occlusion and professional ethics. Emphasis is placed on the basic sciences as they relate to daily prosthodontic practice as well as the need for research and its appreciation
