Department of Operative Dentistry

The department is headed by the Dean of Dentistry himself and comprise of clinical and preclinical departments of restorative, crown and bridge, and paedodontics. The lab is equipped with 20 workstation for training technical aspects of the specialty.

Phantom head lab is used to develop psychomotor skills of the students on the manikins before performing procedures on patients.

The Department provides education to develop competent diagnosticians and clinicians that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases involving the dental pulp and the tissues at the root apex.  

The operative department at Institute of Dentistry is committed to preparing individuals for careers in a multitude of areas, including clinical practice, teaching and research.
